Milan Luthria must be certainly on high to once again associate with his favourite people – actor Ajay Devgn and writer Rajat Arora – through the upcoming film BAADSHAHO. While with Ajay he did three films KACHCHE DHAAGE, CHORI CHORI and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, Milan worked along with Rajat in five films (TAXI NO 9211, HATTRICK, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, THE DIRTY PICTURE and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBARA).
As Milan is busy gearing up for his ambitious next with Ajay Devgn BAADSHAHO to go on floors, we got in touch with Rajat Arora.
He said, “After doing three back-to-back period films, Milan and I are happy that we are doing BAADSHAHO, which is set in current times. It’s a comic-action and a wholesome family entertainer. It’s good that we are evolving and exploring a different genre with BAADSHAHO. You can’t just stick to one particular genre and get stagnant.”
“BAADSHAHO is a very original film and not based or influenced by any stories. Ajay Devgn plays the title role and he is endearing in it. While Shruti Haasan will be seen in a dynamic avatar and role,” he added further about the film and its lead actors.
Milan and Rajat last worked together on the film ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBARA, which was a big dud. Post that Rajat was seen working on the films like KICK and GABBAR IS BACK. Many deemed if Milan and Rajat have parted ways. But Rajat clarified, “It may seem that we have parted ways but we never separated. It’s just that a director takes more time to come out with a project, while a writer can keep going on and on.”
Also starring Lisa Haydon, BAADSHAHO is based in Punjab and expected to hit the screens in 2016.
