Shahid Kapoor has competition in the form of Sonu Sood. Though he is pretty much playing the part of RAMBO RAJKUMAR in the namesake film, Shahid has an adversary in the form of Sonu Sood, who brings in another angle to this love story.

‘There is an interesting twist brought to the proceedings with Sonu falling for Sonakshi Sinha. The film is a quintessential ‘masala’ affair where there is a hero, a heroine and then another man falling in love for a heroine. You may term this as a villain angle but from his point of view, he is a hero no less. It is the tussle that twists around this love story that forms a major conflict in this action pot-boiler,’ informs a source attached to the film.
Apparently Prabhudheva, the film’s director, wanted to present Sonu in a different light after roping him in as a simpleton in his next release RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA.
‘Prabhudheva has presented Sonu in a very stylish manner. Yes, he has grey shades but then every time he appears on screen, he makes the narrative all the more entertaining,’ adds a source.

When contacted, Sonu was expectedly mum on his part in the film. However he did add that the film would show him in a different light altogether, especially since it would arrive after the release of SHOOTOUT AT WADALA and RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA.
‘In fact recently in a Telugu film I also did comedy while in another film down South, BHAI, I am playing a foreign based negative lead of being a gangster. I am enjoying these times when I am flipping between out and out positive, negative and grey roles,’ says Sonu.
Though RAMBO RAJKUMAR, a co-production of Eros International and Next Gen Films Production, is still over six months away, the wait has begun.
