Ranbir Kapoor is known for his exceptional choice of films. His films like BARFI!, ROCKSTAR, RAAJNEETI and WAKE UP SID were all unconventional, but fared well at the box-office. Praised by both critics and audience, the actor is contented with his achievements, and is clear about not accepting scripts that are usual or have been made.

Remakes may be order of the day but Ranbir is least interested in doing it. ”If I pick my father (Rishi Kapoor) or Amitabh Bachchan’s films, I won’t be able to do better than them. So, it is better for me to do something new.” He also added, ”I don’t believe in remakes. But, may be after ten years, if I don’t get any work, I’ll have to opt for them.”
But for now, the actor believes that the industry is welcoming new ideas. ”I believe that it is a great time for the industry. New directors and ideas are getting acceptance. Then, why would I do something that someone else has already done in the past?”
CHECK OUT: Is Ranbir back to his flirtatious best
While the audience is still in awe of Ranbir’s ‘Rockstar’ image and can’t stop raving about his superlative performance in BARFI! as a deaf and mute chap, Ranbir wishes to play a typical Bollywood ‘villain’ in the coming years. ”I think a villain’s life is the best. He is usually rich, has cars and ladies around him and has to die only at the end. So, I really want to play a bad guy.”
Ranbir is currently shooting for BESHARAM and looking forward to his romantic flick YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, starring Deepika Padukone along side, release scheduled for 31st May 2013.
