Ranbir Kapoor and his Sanjay Dutt biopic team were present at the trailer launch of Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film BHOOMI. So it was inevitable that questions regarding JAGGA JASOOS failure were also raised.
Post JAGGA JASOOS failure Rishi Kapoor had lashed out at director Anurag Basu and even blamed him for the failure of Ranbir’s film at the box-office
So when Ranbir was asked if it’s fair to blame the director or the music director on his father’s part for JAGGA JASOOS failure, he very politely clarified, “My father is a very emotional man whatever he said was to protect me. I don’t necessarily agree with what he says or do. JAGGA JASOOS is something we worked for 3-and-half years. We all were aware of what we were doing or how it was being made. Sometimes you succeed sometimes you fail. But I don’t look at it as a failure; I look at it as learning. I think it’s given me a lot, the experience of working with Anurag Basu and everybody involved in the project means a lot to me. So yeah I can’t answer for somebody else but I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with everything that he (his father) says.”
Well that was quite a mature and diplomatic answer given by the actor as compared to his father’s blunt and brutally honest remarks.
