Now that Bollywood’s most sought-after star Salman Khan is out on bail, he is concentrating on his upcoming film BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN. While the buzz is that Salman shot for his introduction song ‘Selfie’ in Kashmir, Remo D’souza, who has choreographed the song, said that the song has already been canned in Mumbai’s filmcity studio before the (hit-and-run case) verdict.
Remo says, “The song has already been shot in the film city. In fact it was shot before the court verdict.”
Since Salman Khan’s songs are known to have trademark dance moves (for instance the famous belt dance from DABANGG or simply move the biceps to the beats of the song from the film BODYGUARD), ask Remo if there are some signature steps in store in the song ‘Selfie’ too and he says, “Being a Salman Khan song, it should definitely have signature steps. The word selfie has significance in the song ‘Selfie’. The song will see Salman taking a selfie with someone special however I can’t reveal beyond this. It will be on the lines of his other films like (DABANGG or BODYGAURD or KICK). I hope it becomes a rage but I can’t say in advance."
Probe Remo if choreographing for Salman was a challenge and he says, “I don’t need to impress him. He knows me well. We have worked together in so many films. It’s always enjoying choreographing for Salman. He is my favourite actor and whenever he is there on the sets there is a special energy around. Definitely, I love to give him some nice dance moves.”
The music of the film is composed by Pritam. BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN also stars Kareena Kapoor and it is directed by Kabir Khan. The movie is slated to release on Eid this year.
