Ace direct David Dhawan’s son Rohit Dhawan a promising, young director who entertained us with his directorial debut, DESI BOYZ directed his first TV commercial with ace cricketer Virat Kohli for a handset brand, where the cricketing icon has been appointed as their Brand Ambassador.
Executive Director of Celkon Mr. Murali said, ‘We are in the process of developing mobiles with latest technology like 3G, Android, dual Sim along with lot of entertainment. Since our mobiles are targeted for the youth. Virat was definitely an ideal choice for the ‘Brand Ambassador’ as our brand has come out with the most youthful features as our first focus and we are also kick starting our multimedia campaign with the release of this ad in the running IPL season.’

Virat quoted, ‘I love challenges and associating with Celkon presented me with an opportunity to partner with a brand that is not satisfied with being one of the most successful brands in South and has now set their sight on the national market. Rohit Dhawan thoroughly enjoyed his first ad film shoot experience even though it wasn’t with a professional actor but a cricketer. He says, ‘Virat is not only a successful cricketer but also a brilliant communicator and actor too.
