Ask Sachiin how is gearing up for Cannes and he says, “Well this is my second time at Cannes. The first time I went to Cannes was when I promoted my film AAZAAN. The first time I wore tuxedos, this time around I am still figuring it out.  While for AAZAAN I went there as an actor, for JAZBAA I will be presenting it as producer.”

However, it is still unsure whether Irrfan Khan, who is also one of the essential actors in the film, will make it to Cannes beacuse of his busy schedule and prior commitments.

The film is set in modern day Mumbai and it tells the story of Anuradha Verma (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a respected, undefeatable lawyer who races against time, corruption, and the guilty to save her daughter from an unusual kidnapper with a peculiar request.

JAZBAA is produced by Essel Vision Productions and Vikings Entertainment. It’s directed and written by Sanjay Gupta. The film will hit the screens in India on October 9, 2015.
