While the audiences are loving the rebellious Imran Khan – Esha Gupta in GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN’s club anthem ‘Dhat Teri Ki’ , singer Sanam Puri is overwhelmed with the response his first Bollywood song has received.
Ask Sanam about his musical journey, and he shares, ”I was 6 when I started learning music. As I grew up, I got serious with my music lessons. When I was in college, I participated in competitions. I was part of the SQS band that eventually went on to win the Times Music competition. The SQS Project which gave the superhit song ‘Teri Aankhon Se’, was followed by Samar-Sanam music album .”
Coming from a non-filmy background, how did he manage to sing for Dharma Productions’ movie GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN, to which Sanam reveals, ”My manager Ben got me in contact with Vishal-Shekhar. They heard my song ‘Teri Aankhon Se’ and loved it. Vishal-Shekhar then immediately asked me to come to their studio and told me that they have one song in mind for me and that was ‘Dhat Teri Ki’ .”
