Trouble is looming over Sanjay Dutt. The lovable B-town Munna bhai may be sent to prison again, ready why.
According a report in Hindustan Times, the bench at Bombay High Court has directed the state to file a detailed affidavit within two weeks, explaining the reasons for granting the frequent paroles and furlough and remission to Sanjay Dutt in Pune’s Yerwada jail where the actor was serving his sentence.
The bench questioned the decision of the state and prison authorities to grant frequent paroles and furloughs to Sanjay Dutt.
However, in the report, The Maharashtra government has maintained that no rules were flouted in Sanjay Dutt case and told the Honorable High Court that Sanjay Dutt was granted parole and furlough as per norms and if mistakes are found they might order Sanjay Dutt to be sent back to jail.
Sanjay Dutt after his release from jail has got active in his new innings in Bollywood. The actor recently shared the first look of his upcoming action flick BHOOMI directed by MARY KOM fame Omung Kumar.
If mistakes are found, it can be a huge setback for Dutt, his producers and his loyal fans.
The Honorable High Court has responded to a PIL filed by city resident Pradeep Bhalekar challenging the actor’s release from jail in February 2016, eight months before his sentence, on grounds of good conduct by the Yerawada Central Jail, Pune.
Further hearing of the PIL is scheduled on August 10.
