Recalling the incident, Satish in an interview said, ''When Salim-Javed narrated the character of the cook I was fascinated to play the role. In those days a Pakistan serial, AANGAN TEDA, was making waves. The highlight of the serial was a domestic servant, whose witty line and feminine strides were hugely appreciated. Hence I was inspired to portray a similar role.''

He continues, ''Soon after hearing the narration I instantly acted the part in front of Shekhar and Javed Sahab, watching me both went into peals of laughter.''
