The premier release of the week, T-Series’ Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer, KABIR SINGH, has managed a splendid opening weekend, netting over 70 crore and is already the star’s biggest solo earner. Given the decent response to the early shows today (Monday), KABIR SINGH is a sure fire hit, if not more. And we are not surprised as we had hinted at it in our Saturday update.

Meanwhile the Ali Abbas Zafar directed Salman-Katrina starrer BHARAT finally managed to struggle past the 200 crore mark in India, during the course of it’s third weekend. BHARAT has also grossed over $10m from the overseas. With a budget of 100-110 crore, and handsome recoveries from satellite, digital and audio rights (reportedly 45-50 crore), BHARAT is technically a hit, though it has belied expectations, as the previous Salman-Abbas ventures have crossed 300 crore (SULTAN & TIGER ZINDA HAI).
