Despite releasing just a week after Shah Rukh Khan’s HAPPY NEW YEAR, the hype for Indra Kumar’s Rekha-Sharman starrer, SUPER NANI, is increasing by the day, especially amongst the family audience.
When we got in touch with the perennially humble and soft spoken Sharman, and asked him about his reaction at the good response to the teasers and some other issues, as always the star was forthright and honest. Says Sharman, “Yeah, I thank all for the good response. As you may recall, I told you that this will be Indra Kumar, the director of iconic and award winning family socials like DIL and BETA, that one will witness in SUPER NANI.”
To catch him off guard, we asked him about the re-shoot of certain portions of SUPER NANI but a nonplussed Sharman had a very interesting take, “You know, a film is like a baby (for a director), and it takes utmost sincerity and clinical precision to improve an already good work. Indra ji has always striven to improve his films, right from early days. The same happened with SUPER NANI, as he thought that certain sequences can become even better and so he went ahead and implemented the changes. It is a rare act in today’s time, as release schedules are so tight that even big filmmakers, thinking on the same lines, are forced to ignore re-shoots.”
The Indra Kumar directed SUPER NANI is all set to hit the screens this October end, 31st October to be precise!
