Varun Dhawan’s BADLAPUR showed him in a different light than the Varun people knew in the industry since STUDENT OF THE YEAR. This shocked many, including his ABCD 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor.

Said the actress, “I have been Varun’s childhood friend. He normally is a very happy person. So when we started ABCD 2 shoot, I wondered what happened to the Varun I knew. I asked him if he was ok, & he said I just finished BADLAPUR.”
She further went on to add, “So I think BADLAPUR was very intense for me. I think he (Varun) performed really well in it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t watch the whole movie because of time constraint & promotions. But with whatever I saw, I understood why Varun had transformed.”

“I don’t think people expected him to play such an intense character in BADLAPUR because Varun’s aura is fun, happy-go-lucky. So he shocked everyone. Even I was shocked with what Varun did in BADLAPUR,” revealed Shraddha.
Directed by Remo D’Souza, ABCD 2 starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor & others is slated to release on June 19, 2015.
