Friday the 13th : A Superstitious Day

Friday the 13th, one of the most unlucky day. And today is one of the inauspicious days we see as to why we believe it as a bad day.

The thing is it is just another friday, but since it coincides on the 13th day just once in a year it is something that is rare.

Meanwhile, let's take a look at some other beliefs that are termed inauspicious.

1) Black cat – A black cat passing your way is considered an ill omen. In fact, it is nothing but just a normal cat passing by. Nothing else.

2) Nail Cutting – Nail cutting is considered an ill omen if it is cut after 6 pm. But in reality, in the olden days, it is due to the fact that there existed no light and cutting nails might injure oneself

3) Cutting hair – A similar concept is applied while cutting hair. Some people misunderstand and relate it with ghosts. In reality, there is no such thing that exists.

4) Lime and Chilli – Lime and chili (Nimbu-Mirchi) are termed as a guardian. But a person is advised not to cross the Nimbu-Mirchi if it is fallen on the streets.

5) No 13 no. room – A hotel will never have a room no. bearing the number 13 since it's considered unlucky. In fact, there does not exist 13th floor bearing the same reason above
