Sonakshi Sinha is in a tell-tale mood and this time around, she isn’t hesitating in revealing her first love. Well, before you get really excited, the young woman is talking about the world of movies here where she unabashedly admits that when it comes to her choice of films, it is always going to be commercial ‘masala’ films that would be on the top of the list.

“The box office numbers of my films in the past have proven that,” smiles Sonakshi who – in her relatively short career so far – already has four 100 crore films (DABANGG, DABANNG 2, ROWDY RATHORE, SON OF SARDAAR) to her name, “These are the kind of films that I want to see as an audience. It has been a great experience for me to be a part of these films.”

For an actress who did an offbeat LOOTERA in the interim period, she feels that picking this Vikramaditya Motwane directed affair in the midst of half a dozen odd ‘masala’ films wasn’t done with any specific agenda in mind.

“I completely loved the script and felt that I could do it. When people appreciated my work there, I felt even better since my hard work paid off. However, doing LOOTERA was never with an intention of proving anything to anyone,” she says.

She is now gearing up for two back to back commercial ‘masala’ films in the form of BULLETT RAJA and R… RAJKUMAR which release practically next to each other.

“Both these films are very different from each other. One is a Prabhudheva film which is a lot of fun-n-frolic. Another is a complete action gangster flick with quintessential dark humour by Tigmanshu Dhulia to add. Both have given me a lot of variety to delve on,” smiles Sonakshi.

Enjoying her first time pairing with Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor respectively, Sonakshi is looking forward to ending 2013 on a high.

“I have always said that commercial masala films are my first love. Regardless of what some so-called critics might have to say about such films, I am completely unapologetic about that,” declares Sonakshi before signing off.

We like that.
