To elaborate, the Sushant, Jay and Surveen starrer, HATE STORY 2, was not expected to fare too well, rather die a premature death due to the arrival of Salman Khan’s KICK just a week later.

However, the Vishal Pandya directed HATE STORY 2 surprised one and all with a stunning run netting 5.46 crore on the opening Friday and followed it up with 4.74 crore on Saturday and 5.65 crore on Sunday, thereby netting a great 15.85 crore during the opening weekend.
What is now certain is that HATE STORY 2 is sure to be a good success, if not a hit (due to KICK). How big or small, only time will tell.
