Tamannaah Bhatia: Every scene with Akshay Kumar is a riot!

HIMMATWALA was a masala film. HUMSHAKALS was a comedy of errors. And now ENTERTAINMENT, as the name suggests, is being pitched as an out and out entertainer with laughter, songs, dances and humor incorporated in the narrative. For Tamannaah Bhatia, who has been the leading lady in each of these films, it has been a beginning in Bollywood that has given her good all round visibility in a matter of just a year and a half.

”Yes, I am happy with the kind of platform these films have provided. My released films may have done varied business but I am happy to be around and being in company of some wonderful people. Now with ENTERTAINMENT, it has been phenomenal to be sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar. He is such a senior in the industry and yet so humble. Moreover, every scene with him is a riot, especially in a film belonging to this genre where this is so much situational comedy coming into play.”

However, it isn’t going to be just laughs, and more of it, in films to come as well. For someone who has around 30 films to her credit down South and has done some intense dramatic as well as hardcore romantic films out there, it is time to shift gears and pick the kind of flicks that allow her to demonstrate different facets of hers as an actress.

CHECK OUT: ENTERTAINMENT Song Lyrics

”I am certainly looking forward to exploring different genres now,” confesses Tamannaah, ”I have done a few comedies so I don’t see much point in picking up similar films in future too. This is the reason why I am not on a signing spree. Yes, the start has been fine and I appreciate that. However, I want to be picking on different roles as an actress. Of course being a leading lady, there have to be romance, naach, gaana and stuff alike; I like that too. But then I look forward to newer stories and narrative which show a different side of me too.”

We look forward to that Tamannaah but till then, it is going to be all about ENTERTAINMENT, which releases next Friday.
