TABLE NO.21 has released and as were the kind of expectations that had been built during its promotion, the film has turned out to be a very good watch. While critical acclaim is more or less on a very positive side and the word of mouth is seeing a good build up for itself too, all eyes are on how that helps the film consolidate its position over rest of the weekend and then during the weekdays.
However, even though the film is seemingly a polished product, it looks like the while marketing and promotional exercise was a late burst. Especially for Tena, who is being seen in her first hardcore mainstream commercial cinema, better visibility would have done great wonders. Considering this, didn't Tena's heart pine for the fact that more buzz could have been created around the film, especially when it was being made?
'See, I don't completely understand promotional activities. I know that some movies have promotions and PRs on during the shoot as well. However, I am too much of a newcomer to get involved in that. I have questions but then perhaps not all people may appreciate me asking them,'' says Tena, 'Anyways, this didn't bother me or turn out to be a matter of concern. I knew that Eros was backing the project and moreover the script is strong. I was sure that the release would be strong and hence there is no discomfort whatsoever.'
While the makers have now done well in releasing the film rather extensively, it would be only worthwhile if this well-made film indeed gets its due.
