BANK CHOR brings Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh together for the fourth time after MASTI series. All this while they were part of adult comedies, this is the first time they are not seen doing an adult comedy. In conversation with Vivek Oberoi as he speaks about his film BANK CHOR and also clears out if he would give up on adult comedy.
VIVEK OBEROI WALLPAPERS
On being asked about BANK CHOR, Vivek said, “I play a highly-decorated and tough cop, Amjad Khan, who busts a regular bank robbery. While Riteish Deshmukh’s character and the rest of the gang are pulling off the heist, you don’t know whether Amjad is a good cop or bad, you need to watch it.”
We have seen Riteish and Vivek having a crackling chemistry on-screen earlier. When asked Vivek about working with Riteish yet again, he said, “This is our fourth project together after MASTI, GRAND MASTI, AND GREAT GRAND MASTI. But, this is the first film that you can actually sit with your family and watch us on screen without being embarrassed. I’m familiar with Riteish’s comic timing and there’s great scope for improvising when working with him.”
Reportedly Riteish has given up adult comedies, as he doesn’t want his sons to watch him in that genre. When asked will Vivek too follow Riteish’s footsteps, he said, “I think for him it was a big conscious decision to split away from that space. If I have done a film, I have done it knowingly and unabashedly. However, right now, I don’t know if I will do adult comedies ever again.”
Whether or not Vivek does adult comedies, but we hope Riteish & Vivek team up again and again for any of the projects together. As the duo share a great chemistry on-screen.
