Tiger Shroff: My dad was the first anti-hero in the industry

It is common news that on 23rd May, Tiger Shroff's HEROPANTI would be 'clashing' with Rajinikanth's KOCHADAIIYAAN which also features Jackie Shroff in a pivotal role. However, the Shroff family is taking it easy and maintaining the stance of 'Keep Calm' even as audience waits for the clash to take place at the box office.

"Well, this is not a clash per se, it is a matter of celebration," says Jackie Shroff who was seen in DHOOM 3 and AURANGZEB last year, "It is a nice feeling to be coming along with your son's debut. I will remember this day forever. So many people are coming and telling me that they want to make the weekend special by watching both films. That's a great high for us father and son."

While Sajid Nadiadwala's HEROPANTI had penciled in this release date quite some time back, Eros' KOCHADAIIYAAN has occupied this slot only recently in order to enjoy a much wider release.

One looks forward to how Tiger fares on the day of his debut when his father would be rubbing shoulders with Rajinikanth.

"Well, my father would always be this 'Jackie dada' for the audience," smiles Tiger, "As for comparison, I know it would be there, regardless of whether our films come on the same or a different date. It is all about thinking how you are different and what you have to offer to the crowd. He was the first anti-hero in the industry and came with a dusky macho look when other newcomers were carrying a chikna look. He played to his personality."

As for HEROPANTI v/s KOCHADAIIYAAN, he is aware that Rajinikanth would be a major draw at the box office.

Smiles Tiger, "He is THE Rajinikanth after all. There can't be any question of taking him on. I am sure people will watch my film and I too shall be catching his film in theaters. Moreover, my father stars in there. It is going to be a fun weekend."
