Though there were lot of speculations around, it is only now that Shraddha Kapoor has been finalized to play the female lead opposite Tiger Shroff in Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming film BAAGHI, helmed by Sabbir Khan.

Ask Sabbir what made him delay in roping Shraddha and he says, “From day one Shraddha was only on our mind and we wanted to sign her but she was busy with ABCD 2 and other projects. Also, we were working upon the script. So, we waited for the right time.”
While Tiger Shroff embarked his career on a nostalgic note with HEROPANTI (that had a touch of his father Jackie Shroff’s debut film HERO’s signature tune), his second film BAAGHI, which shares a similar name with Salman’s film, is completely different.
Director Sabbir Khan, who launched Tiger and is now all set to direct him again in BAAGHI, says, “My film BAAGHI is different from Salman’s film. It’s neither a remake nor the storyline is similar. HEROPANTI had certain nostalgia attached to it since it was Jackie’s son Tiger’s launch pad; let’s see if we can have anything special in the new film also.”
Although, like Salman (who played a rebellious lover), Tiger and Shraddha also play rebel lovers in the new BAAGHI. “Tiger and Shraddha will play rebel lovers, who fight for their love in different situations. However both the films are set in different backdrop….” confirming this Sabbir adds, “It’s too early to talk about the plotline. Right now we are gearing up for the film to go on floors.”
Sabbir further reveals about the shoot schedule, “BAAGHI is going on floors on May 27, 2015 at Mehboob Studios. The first schedule begins in Mumbai. Later on we will move to Darjeeling, Thailand and other places for the subsequent schedules. The film is set to hit the screens on April 15, 2016.”
Meanwhile, Shraddha is gearing up for her upcoming release ABCD 2, starring Varun Dhawan alongside.
