Varun Dhawan: As an actor, I try to stay very far away from 100 crore club

‘Raghu’ Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film BADLAPUR looks very enthralling and the actor, at a recent interview said that the film was shot at all real locations.

Varun had totally gotten into his character so when asked the young actor if it was disturbing getting deep into this role he said, “I was disturbed and I went deep, but I don’t want to complain about it because I feel it is a part and parcel of making a film. It was and the reason I think is because we didn’t shoot on any sets. I remember, everything in this film was shot at a real location. Even the house was somebody’s house. The hospitals, jails, criminals, everything was real. So, it was very tangible. I could touch & feel every experience.”

It has become like a perception that if a film doesn’t cross the 100 crore mark people don’t consider it doing well at the box office. So when ask him about his take on the 100 crore club and he said, “As an actor, I try to stay very far away from all these thoughts or things. I am not joining any clubs or camps; my job is to just do films. The film being accepted & liked by the audience is the number one goal.”

Also starring Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Divya Dutta, Radhika Apte, Vinay Pathak & others, BADLAPUR is directed by Sriram Raghavan & produced by Dinesh Vijan & Sunil Lulla. The film will release on 20th February, 2015.
