This time around when ‘Humpty Sharma’ is arriving, he is giving good enough indication that he won’t be leaving without his ‘Dulhania’. When compared to his debut film STUDENT OF THE YEAR, this is a good enough move ahead for Varun Dhawan who lost Alia Bhatt to ‘Ek Villain’ Sidharth Malhotra in the Karan Johar production.

“Hopefully there is something in store for me this time around,”chuckles Varun who is reuniting with Alia for yet another Dharma production, “In STUDENT OF THE YEAR our love story was incomplete as we didn’t walk into the sunset eventually. Woh Sidharth beech mein aa gaya. Now in HUMPTY SHARMA… though, it should be fun for audience to see me and my ‘dulhania’.”
If one looks at the song and talkie promos of the film, there is some good chemistry on display between the young pair.
“Well, we do keep hearing about this word chemistry, but since this is my first ever love story, I too am exploring the real essence of this only now,” smiles Varun, “There is no mushy angle to it though; you won’t see us into a coochie coo kind of a relationship. It is a real life story told in a simple way, though it has a very big heart to it. As a viewer, you would be leaving the auditorium with a strong feeling of love.”
He is happy for Alia who has come a long way herself with HIGHWAY and 2 STATES showcasing her versatility.
“She has clearly grown a lot as an actress; the kind of accolades she has been getting right through the year so far pretty much shows that. Now with her in HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIA, it only helps the film since family audience really like her,” says Varun.
Meanwhile with him in the title role, one waits to see how audience give him thumbs up again after MAIN TERA HERO, which had done business of over 50 crore earlier this year.
