After a few speculations, the leading lady for the upcoming film FORCE 2, sequel to FORCE, has been finalized. Well, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has replaced Genelia D’souza Deshmukh in the second part, which is being produced by Vipul Shah and directed by Abhinay Deo. While John Abraham, who was there in FORCE, has already been signed up as the lead actor for the sequel.

Post, HOLIDAY: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, Sonakshi and Vipul are coming together for FORCE 2, while with John Abraham, Sonakshi forms a pair for the first time.
While Sonakshi had nothing much to deliver in HOLIDAY, in FORCE 2 she plays a RAW agent (as revealed by the actress on a micro-blogging site). But Vipul asks not to compare the two films. He says “HOLIDAY was altogether a different film. You can’t compare the two films. It would be exciting to see Sonakshi in this film. She was the first and best choice for FORCE 2.”
He further talks about John and Sonakshi’s new pairing, “We wanted to have a fresh pairing. To complete the fresh casting, Sonakshi Sinha was approached to be playing the female lead opposite John Abraham. Since they have never been cast together, it would be exciting for everyone to see this jodi onscreen. So just check them out.”
FORCE was directed by Nishikanth Kamath, while FORCE 2 will be helmed by Abhinay Deo. Quiz Vipul about replacing Nishikanth and he says, “Nishikanth was busy with his films DRISHYAM, MADARI and ROCKY HANDSOME. So we thought of someone who could add style and take the brand forward in right way. And we thought Abhinay Deo’s name was apt for it. He’s got right sensibilities.”
Since Vipul is known to cast new faces as villains in his films (FORCE, COMMANDO, HOLIDAY), ask if FORCE 2 would also have a fresh face and he says, ‘That’s too early to talk about. We will make the necessary announcements soon.”
The much anticipated sequel of Vipul shah’s cult action film FORCE is all set to go on floors in September. The film is slated to be released in the first half of 2016.
