We have heard of the married women keeping 'vrat' for the good health and happiness of their husbands, and the yet-to-be-married ones doing the same to get a husband of their dreams. Although it is not a big surprise in modern times to find men who fast on 'Karva Chauth' to keep company with their wives, a film star keeping a 'solah somwar' is a rarity. And why will he do it?

The occasion of the launch of the 'Gulabi' song from Yash Raj Banner's latest film SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE starring Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput, and the newcomer Vaani Kapoor, the film's hero Sushant Singh Rajput made a very important confession when asked as to what did he have to do to get a female lead opposite him since in his first film KAI PO CHE! he had none.

The star came up with a good answer that must up have brightened up the mood of byte seeking TV reporters, forever looking for juicy and spicy tidbits. He said that he kept the vrat of 'solah somwar' and prayed that he got a heroine in his next film and was richly rewarded with two heroines in SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE.

SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE is directed by Maneesh Sharma (BAND BAAJA BARAAT), produced by Aditya Chopra, and written by Jaideep Sahni. It is scheduled to be releases on September 6, 2013, in India and is also selected as a part of the Gala programme of the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
