Veteran filmmaker JP Dutta, who gave the film industry some of the finest war dramas of all time, including the National award winning BORDER, is back with a bang as he presents his next titled PALTAN.
The filmmaker has recently signed Harshvardhan Rane to be part of his ambitious war drama.
It’s learnt that the makers were looking for an actor, who not only has a good screen presence but is also physically fit. The role is challenging as it is physically demanding and Harshvardhan was the perfect fit.
In fact JP Dutta in the very first meeting with Harsh knew that he had found the actor he was looking for.
After his Bollywood debut, SANAM TERI KASAM, the actor became quite popular with female fans thanks to his good looks and physique. Even though he made his debut last year, Harshvardhan waited for the right script to come his way and he found PALTAN to be the perfect script for him.
Nidhi Dutta of JP Films says, “Yes, we have signed Harshvardhan Rane for PALTAN but it’s too early to divulge anything about the movie or his role.”
Reportedly Harshvardhan has replaced Abhishek Bachchan in PALTAN since he decided to walk out of this film for some personal reasons.
Directed by JP Dutta, PALTAN is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.
