After the super conclusion to the year 2011 through Shahrukh Khan's DON 2, it was expected that the New Year would commence on a bright note with Abbas-Mustan's PLAYERS. However, PLAYERS is likely to end at around 27-28 crores from India.
The other four releases of the next week- GHOST, SADDA ADDA, CHAALIS CHAURAASI and TUTIYA DIL have also failed to make any mark at the ticket window.
With an open Friday this week, and no release of any sort, all eyes are now on next Friday's Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra starrer, AGNEEPATH to end the dull phase at the box office. Even the trade knows all are quite hopeful of AGNEEPATH scoring at the turnstile.
Seeing the way the promos of the film have been received, there are bright chances of AGNEEPATH scoring the first century of Hrithik Roshan's career and also providing the first hit of the year.
