Will music give 1920-EVIL RETURNS the winning edge?

Despite a host of new releases this Friday, the front runner is most likely to be Vikram Bhatt's horror flick, 1920 – EVIL RETURNS.

Amongst the factors that are most likely to help further the cause of the Aftab Shivdasani-Tia Bajpai starrer are Vikram Bhatt's enviable track record as far as the horror genre is concerned, the spine-chilling promos and special effects along with Tia Bajpai's amazing blood curdling performance, as can be gauged from the recently released trailers. And last but not the least the melodious music by Chirantan Bhatt.

Coming to the last factor, yes it's the same team that gave us the super hit HAUNTED 3D. Very much in line with the music of HAUNTED, the songs of 1920-EVIL RETURNS are already climbing the charts. Sonu Nigam's 'Apna Mujhe Tu Laga', where he also features in a promotional video, has already struck a chord with the die-hard romantics. To know about the music and if it will indeed help the cause of her latest release we caught up with lead actress and singer Tia Bajpai who told us, ''I love the music of 1920 -EVIL RETURNS.''

To know about the music and if it will indeed help the cause of her latest release we caught up with lead actress and singer Tia Bajpai who told us, ''I love the music of 1920 -EVIL RETURNS. All the songs are exceptional. 'Jab Banana Uska Hi Banana' is my all-time favourite. The rest of the songs, 'Jaavedaan Hai' and 'Khud ko Tere' too are good. I am happy that the music is getting so popular and yes I am sure that it will surely help the film in a big way.''

We also queried as to why she did not render any of the numbers featuring herself, as she had ably demonstrated her superb vocal prowess in HAUNTED 3D and Tia says, ''I was supposed to sing, 'Tujh Mein Muskurate Hain' ('Khud Ko Tere') but I was away shooting for a film abroad, and so I could not render the song.''

Well, we wish the team luck and hope that the hard labour that they have put into film works in a big way, and another super hit (like HAUNTED 3D) lands in their kitty.
