Prateik Babbar may upset his father Raj Babbar with this bold move in the upcoming movie YAARAM…

We all are awed by historic Triple Talaq bill passed under the regime of our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modiji. The bill is hailed as a new step in women empowerment.

In the upcoming rom com YAARAM ( also called as #Yaaram)  that stars Prateik Babbar, Sidhant Kapoor and Ishita Raj Sharma the burning issue of Triple Talaq is handled with a unique twist.

It is learnt from a reliable source from the production team that Prateik Babbar is set to raise eye brows of many that may include his father actor turned politician Raj Babbar with his controversial character Rohit Bajaj.

The source informs that Prateik plays the role of a Hindu boy ‘Rohit Bajaj’ who decides to convert his religion from Hinduism to Islam in order to get married to Ishita Raj Sharma who plays ‘Zoya’ – a Muslim girl who is married to Sahil Qureshi (Siddhant Kapoor).

Sahil Qureshi gives Triple Talaq to ‘Zoya’ and Rohit Bajaj converts himself into a Muslim and marries a Triple Talaq victim – Zoya.

This marriage forms the crux of this saga where 3 educated friends Prateik Babbar, Sidhant Kapoor and Ishita Raj Sharma find themselves at different ends ruled by faith and fate.

After the historic judgment on Triple Talaq during the regime of Modi Government, YAARAM is the first movie to open a healthy debate on the Triple Talaq issue.

Without getting political, this development may find Parteik in direct opposition with his father Raj Babbar who has reportedly spoken against the Triple Talaq Bill. Though Prateik is just playing a character but considering the sensibility of the issue things may take unexpected turns.

Shot extensively on the exotic locations of Mauritius and other parts of the world, YAARAM will also see Dilip Tahil playing the role of Sangarsh Bajaj – Prateik Babbar’s father and Anita Raaj playing a role of Vijeyta Sangarsh Prateik Babbar’s mother.

YAARAM is helmed by award winning ad filmmaker and fashion cinematographer, Ovais Khan. Produced by Vijay Mulchandani under the banner of Yashvi Films, YAARAM is all set for release on October 18th, 2019.
