This Friday's new release, the Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol starrer, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2, was off to a good start in the North and Central India (bumper in East Punjab!), with collections in the range of 65-75 percent. The film was not as good in the Mumbai-Maharashtra circuit with around 40- 50 percent start as the youths preferred the week old YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI. South was as always low (for a Deol film) with about 25-30 percent opening.
With the enjoyable laugh riot banking on the star power of the still 'Garam' Dharam and macho man Sunny Deol, the word of mouth (though mixed) for the film was tilting towards the positive side which augers well for YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2.
Meanwhile last Friday's smash hit, the Ranbeer-Deepika starrer, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, entered the second week quite strongly, especially at good multiplexes, and that too after crossing the century mark (netting approximately 105 crore) in seven days flat. Needless to add that YJHD is sure to be blockbuster or even higher, not only in India but in the overseas as well.
