The year 2018 has been an amazing year for Hollywood sequels. With the year heading for an interval we look at the sequels we had so far and the forthcoming attractions that ranges from super hero, to musical to action, animation and more..


AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR:
Perhaps the most awaited sequel of all times, Marvel’s nineteenth movie stayed true to the expectations and turned out to be a spectacular celebration of super heroes that ended with an astonishingly haunting climax. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR spearheaded the amazing journey of sequels for the year 2018.

JURRASIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM:
Sequel to JURRASIC WORLD (2015), this one helmed by J. A. Bayona was the fifth installment of the Jurassic Park film series and the second installment of a planned Jurassic World trilogy. The movie saw the dinosaurs coming out of the park to provide all the action and thrills.

INCREDIBLES 2:
Coming after a long wait of fourteen years, the amazing Parr family in Pixar and Disney collaboration are back and still they stay true to the word INCREDBLE. Brad Bird gave a terrific entertainer that highlighted the importance of a family and had layers in its plot, the concept of the villain ( screen slayer) was nothing short of a masterstroke and the hidden comment on the need for superheroes made it exceptional.

ANT – MAN AND THE WASP:
Marvel's ant-sized superhero makes his return this year, this time on a new mission fighting alongside the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). Paul Rudd reprises his role as Ant-Man, with Peyton Reed back in the director's chair. Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne round out the cast, the movie is coming on 13th July 2018.

MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN!:
Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Mamma Mia! The sequel to the musical comedy will see several actors from the original coming back with the magic of ABBA. Amanda Seyfried (Dear John) as Sophie, Meryl Streep (The Devil Wears Prada) as Donna, and Pierce Bronan (GoldenEye) as Sam will be seen again, the movie releases on 20th July 2018.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE- FALLOUT:
The sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. It stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Michelle Monaghan, and Alec Baldwin who all reprise their roles from previous films, with Henry Cavill and Angela Bassett joining the franchise. MISSION IMPOSSIBLE- FALLOUT releases on 27th July

RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET: WRECK IT RALPH 2:
Six years following the events of 2012's Wreck-It Ralph, the sequel sees Ralph (again voiced by John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) travel to the Internet through a Wi-Fi router newly installed in the arcade in an attempt to save Sugar Rush from being shut down. Taraji P. Henson, introduced as new character Yesss, joins the voice cast in the animated family film by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston. Release Date: The movie releases on 23rd November 2018.

MARY POPPINS RETURNS:
Emily Blunt makes her debut as the magical nanny in the follow-up to the 1964 original starring Julie Andrews. The sequel, set 25 years later, sees Blunt's Mary Poppins pay a visit to now-grown children Michael and Jane Banks to help them overcome a personal loss. MARY POPPINS RETURNS on 28th December 2018.
