4 times when Salman Khan was honest AF!
There are times when knowingly or unknowingly you end up blurting out the truth. But if you happen to be a huge star like Salman Khan then this habit can be either a boon or bane depending upon the kind of situation.
Bhaijaan's latest film TUBELIGHT may be flickering at Box-office right now but you never know if the festive season would actually end up giving the actor as well as the makers of the film a reason to celebrate in the coming days.
But owing to the not-so-good reviews that the film garnered upon its release it has to be seen if Bhaijaan will be able to continue his winning streak at box-office which he has been doing effortlessly since the last seven years.
Here we tell you how on few occasions Salman Khan was honest AF and for that we think we should respect him some more.
SALMAN KHAN, KABIR KHAN and SOHAIL KHAN AT TUBELIGHT TRAILER LAUNCH
• ''I am a limited performer''
During the trailer launch of TUBELIGHT Salman Khan was quoted saying as, ''I am a limited performer and everybody knows that.''
Well for this statement Salman Khan deserves a huge round of applause because this coming from a star of his stature is a huge thing. Admitting the truth so nonchalantly is not something we come across easily these days.
Was this also the reason why Salman convinced his TUBELIGHT director Kabir Khan to cast his brother Sohail in the film instead of other A list actor as that would make it easier for him to emote his love and feelings towards Sohail's character in the film? Because being a limited performer and someone who doesn't believes in preparations it would have become a mammoth task for the actor to shed the tears and emote had it been someone else in Sohail's role.
READY, DABANGG and KICK
• ''My films are critic-proof''
Of course when you have earned your stardom by showing off your six-packs abs and romancing actresses half your age instead of showing your acting chops then certainly who gives a damn about critics!
SALMAN KHAN WALLPAPERS
• ''You only see 5-7% of me on screen''
Now this is so true because unlike his on-screen simpleton persona (which is how he is being projected in his last few films) we all know what kind of image he has (both on and off screen) so we totally agree when he says that we only get to watch 5-7% of him on screen.
TUBELIGHT MOVIE POSTER
•''Aamir, Akshay, Hrithik could have played this role (Laxman in TUBELIGHT)''
In a recent interview to UC News when the actor was asked who he thinks could have played Laxman's character in the film to which he had suggested names of actors like Aamir, Akshay and Hrithik. Now after looking at how the film is being panned by the critics we feel like only these actors perhaps could have pulled of Laxman's role more convincingly (By the way how can a 40-50-years-old actor can do justice to the original role of an 8-year-old child is beyond our imagination!)
