It was an evening to remember yesterday at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir (yes, the same theatre that’s still playing DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE) as the new song ‘Gerua’ from DILWALE was launched in the presence of the cast and crew Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and director Rohit Shetty of the film. Here’s presenting a few highlights of the event. Varun Dhwan-Kriti Sanon dancing to Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol’s hit numbers
Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon kicked off the evening and set the mood as they danced to some of the hit SRK-Kajol numbers like ‘Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam’
(DDLJ), 'Sooraj hua madhyam’
(KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM) and 'Yeh kaali kaali aankhein’
(BAAZIGAR) as the fans went crazy.
SRK’s hilarious response to crazy, cheering fan
Pritam playing DILWALE songs on guitar with the entire team singing together
SRK asked Pritam to sing a few DILWALE songs and he readily obliged. It was wonderful to see the entire team & fans supporting and cheering him as he sung ‘Gerua’ and other songs from the film.
A crazy, male SRK fan was constantly saying ‘I love you, SRK’. After a while SRK told him, “Tu sirf blockbuster blockbuster chillata reh. Waise bhi mera naam in cheezon ki wajah se kafi kharab hai.
~pgbr~ SRK’s tip to a journo who wanted to patao a girl he likes
A male journalist said how he’s head over heels with a girl but doesn’t know how to woo her. To this, SRK said, “If you do the things I tell you then she will fall in love with me and not you.”
~pgbr~ SRK’s inimitable wit on display
While on the way to the venue, some journalists saw Shah Rukh Khan speaking with AbRam over the phone. At the event when asked if this is the way he makes up for the time when he’s not with his kids, SRK quite wittily said, “No, this is how I compensate when I’m stuck in traffic. I spend a lot of time with my kids.”
