Bollywood actor Aamir Khan
is expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today to discuss the plight of manual scavengers who engage in cleaning human waste.
"We had sought an appointment with the Prime Minister and Aamir would be meeting him tomorrow morning," a spokesperson for the actor said on Sunday.
Khan had spotlighted the problems of the people in a recent episode of his popular television program "Satyamev Jayate".

The TV show spotlights a different social issue in every episode, discussing different aspects of problems like female foeticide, child sexual abuse and domestic violence.
Earlier, Khan had made a presentation before a parliamentary committee on issues concerning the medical and pharmaceutical sector following an episode on the same subject.
