One couldn't see this coming, but this has actually happened.
Abhishek Bachchan has attached Viveik Oberoi and the fight would soon be seen by all across the globe... on celluloid, of course!
For starters, the two feature in hot-n-happening SHOOT OUT AT LOKAHNDWALA while being on the opposite side of law. So while Abhishek stars as Inspector Abhishek Mhatre, Viveik Oberoi plays a dreaded gangster / extortionist Maya Dolas.
It is during this on-screen rivalry where the two find themselves hurling bullets at each other along with rest of the cops and the gangsters.
The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty and Arbaaz Khan as the cops along with Amitabh Bachchan as a lawyer and Aftab Ahmad Khan as the Commissioner of Police On the other hand the group of gangsters comprise of Viviek heading the unit along with Tusshar Kapoor, Rohit Roy, Aditya Lakhia and Shabbir Ahluwalia,
SHOOT OUT AT LOKHANDWALA is directed by Apoorva Lakhia who has earlier made films like MUMBAI SE AAYA MERA DOST and EK AJNABEE. While the former starred Abhishek as the lead protagonist, the latter had daddy Amitabh Bachchan enacting the central character with junior making a split second appearance towards the fag end of the film.
Incidentally in SHOOT OUT AT LOKHANDWALA Abhishek Bachchan has a special appearance as well though it is very much a well-placed and integral part of the film's plot.
The film is gaining immense heat with every passing with a dozen odd teasers doing the trick as they introduce each and every cast member. While the month of May would see films like YATRA, GOOD BOY BAD BOY, LIFE IN A...METRO, RAQEEB, EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL and CHEENI KUM releasing too, it is expected to end on a euphoric note too with this Sanjay Gupta / Ekta Kapoor produced film hitting the marquee on May 25th.
