‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar this year has amazed with his fine performances in two of the most relevant films out of which one was about a social cause and the other focused on India’s first participation in Olympics.
Akshay has always been an enthusiastic and staunch sports supporter and he admires their (sportsman) work a lot. Akshay himself has aced the character of Tapan Das a hockey coach-player in his latest hit release GOLD.
In a recent report, the actor had said that he would love to produce a film on Hima Das as her achievement at such a young age left him astonished. While he has reflected his interest in sports on screen, now off screen too he remembers the special day of sports. As today is National Sports Day, the actor in his post also celebrated the birth anniversary of India’s greatest sportsman Dhyaan Chand that coincidentally falls today.
He urged the nation to celebrate sports not just on such occasions but every day as it is one of the most important activities. He had actively congratulated and wished various sportsmen actively in the current Asian Games.
Being an actor by profession it is great to see a superstar gracing up sports activity among everyone.
Today being the birth anniversary of one of India’s greatest sportsman, #MajorDhyanChand is also marked as #NationalSportsDay. The best tribute would be to not just celebrate it for a day but make sports a way of life.— Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) August 29, 2018
