Last Friday’s premier release, the Sujoy Ghosh directed megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer BADLA has emerged a box-office success. The Red Chillies and Azure Entertainment murder mystery did not embark on a very good start on Friday, as it was hampered by the release of Hollywood venture CAPTAIN MARVEL, but it showed good growth netting 23 crore over the weekend. And the way BADLA is progressing during the weekdays it will soon be netting more than CAPTAIN MARVEL!

What is important to note here is that BADLA has already crossed the opening weekend 22 crore figure of another Amitabh-Taapsee starrer, PINK which also turned out to be remarkable hit, given the unusual genre.
BADLA has also done well in the overseas grossing $1.75m with $600,000 from the US.
