After making a sterling debut with the National Award-winning 1971, director Amrit Sagar Chopra is ready with his next film, RABBA MAIN KYA KAROON
. Starring Arshad Warsi
, Paresh Rawal, Raj Babbar, Shakti Kapoor and introducing Akash Sagar Chopra, the rom-com has music by Salim-Suleiman.
Amrit's 1971, revolving around prisoners of the Indo-Pak war, starred Manoj Bajpai and released in 2007 to much critical acclaim and rave reviews before going on to win the National Award for Best Hindi Film. The movie also marked the first foray into film production for Moti Sagar Productions, which has always been synonymous with superior television content.
And now after a break of five years, Amrit is ready with RABBA MAIN KYA KAROON, a rollercoaster ride which centers around a big lavish Delhiwedding. This film too has been backed by Moti Sagar Productions.
"This is a complete departure from 1971 but a genre that I am very much at home with," says Amrit Sagar Chopra, "Comedy has been the flavour of the season and RABBA MAIN KYA KAROON celebrates the lighter side of life with aplomb. The audiences are going to have as much of a blast as we had making the film."
Says Moti Sagar of Moti Sagar Productions, "Amrit's already made a mark with his first film and I am sure everyone's going to love RABBAMAIN KYA KAROON. We the Sagars have been associated with the best of entertainment and this film is the latest jewel in our crown."
RABBA MAIN KYA KAROON is slated to release in September-October this year.
