Actor Arya Babbar made a promising debut with Raj Kanwar's AB KE BARAS (with Amrita Rao), and although the film did not score well commercially at the box office, his act was appreciated.

Arya was recently seen in READY and before that in TEES MAAR KHAN, where he got noticed amongst stalwarts, and is very much in the thick of things, as far as his Bollywood career goes.

However Arya's biggest claim to fame has been Punjabi films. With VIRSA the actor once again impressed the critics and via YAARANMULLE Arya ruled the Punjabi box-office as the film created many records.

His fondness for Punjabi films is quite obvious and he says, ''It's true, Punjabi films have given me a lot of love and respect. Both VIRSA and YAARANMULLE are very close to my heart and I am really looking forward to my next, LEGAYA SADDA DIL LUTKE.''

Speaking about the film Arya reveals, ''The film is a sort of road trip where I play a goon hired by a person to kidnap a girl that he loves but when I reach there the girl turns out to be...'' Interesting storyline one must say!

Well, it goes without saying that Arya is ranked amongst the big names in Punjabi films, and apart from that he has about half a dozen Hindi films coming up for release within the next couple of years, and we can safely say that Arya is perhaps entering the best phase of his professional life.
