Balaji has hit the bull's eye in its debut foray into regional cinema.

The company's Marathi co-production with Neeraj Pandey (A WEDNESDAY), TAARYANCHE BAIT, released on 15th April, opened to packed houses in the weekend of release and will gain further by retaining its momentum through exceptional word of mouth.

The film's opening weekend collections match those of some of the top Marathi films of all time. With strong marketing and distribution, TAARYANCHE BAIT outshone both the competing (Hindi & Marathi) films that released on the same day.

The film had house-full shows in several locations. Multiplexes as well as single screen theaters in Mumbai and Pune saw the HOUSE FULL sign at the box-office. Plaza Dadar, considered to be a principal barometer for the performance of Marathi films, saw packed shows. In the subsequent weeks, Balaji plans to open the family entertainer in new cities like Nasik, Sholapur, Miraj, Talegaon, Latur, Wai, Aurangabad and others.

The trade pundits and critics have been as supportive as the audiences in championing the film, which won two top awards at the coveted Pune International Film Festival, earlier this year.
