Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 11th feb 2019

The bunched new releases of this week, Nargis-Sachin starrer AMAVAS, Sapna Chaudhary’s DOSTI KE SIDE EFFECTS, JHOL, S P CHAUHAN and Farhan Akhtar’s delayed debut venture THE FAKIR OF VENICE, proved to be duds with just AMAVAS managing a below 5-7 percent start.

Checking out Vidhu Vinod Chopra Productions and Fox Star Studios’ Anil, Juhi, Sonam and Rajkummar starrer EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA, the film started on a negative note from the first day itself and failed to improve after that. The first week appears to be around the 17 crore mark, as we await exact numbers. EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA is decent in the overseas (good in US) grossing £125,000 from UK and $605,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (1-3 February).

Adding another 36 crore, URI- THE SURGICAL STRIKE has netted 169 crore in three weeks from India and is a blockbuster, given the 42 crore all inclusive cost. URI-TSG is also an overseas hit grossing $5m plus with $3.50m, just from the US.
