The new release of the week, Madras Talkies and Dharma Productions' venture starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, OK JAANU, saw a decent start at city multiplexes. The opening was in the 25-35 percent region. Given the reasonable cost (28 crore, all inclusive) and recovery from non-theatrical rights, even a half decent weekend should see the Shaad Ali directed film in the plus zone.

The other release, Nawazuddin’s HARAAMKHOR, which saw a very limited release, has managed to impress the critics and some niche audience at select cinemas.

The two releases of last week, India E-Commerce Ltd., Himalayan Dreams and Prachi Movies’ PRAKASH ELECTRONICS and Big Bollywood Pictures and Time World Entertainment’s AMIR, SALMAN and SHAHRUKH, went unnoticed.
