The coming Friday shows HOTEL MILAN, PIHU and MOHALLA ASSI slated for release. And with THUGS OF HINDUSTAN under-performing in a big way, it does give the Sunny Deol starrer MOHALLA ASSI some chances.

Moving on, last week’s JUST JACK AND DIL and LUPT have been out rightly rejected.

Coming to the most anticipated release of the most profitable and auspicious week of the year, we are obviously referring to the Diwali release, the Amitabh, Aamir, Katrina and Sana starrer, YRF’s THUGS OF HINDUSTAN. Well the film did shatter all existing opening day records by mopping up 50 crore (including dubbed), but saw a pronounced fall on all the subsequent days, thereby ending the extended (4-day) opening weekend netting 120 crore for all versions (to be validated). Having said that the reviews as well as the not so positive word of mouth spell a bad omen for the Vijay Krishna Acharya directed TOH, as we await the final outcome. The only bright spot is that YRF , the producers are also the worldwide distributors and so all the rights rest with them.

Checking out Saif Ali Khan’s business crime drama, BAAZAAR, the film faded away after some sparks on the holidays collecting 3.50 crore from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unrecieved), 80 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 35.25 lakhs from Surat, 20 lakhs from Baroda, 10 lakhs from Rajkot, 75 lakhs from Pune, 10.75 lakhs from Nasik,7.75 lakhs from Goa, 2.75 lakhs from Belgaum, 1.50 crore from Delhi city, 35 lakhs from Noida, 23.50lakhs from Ghaziabad, 11.25 lakhs from Kanpur, 30 lakhs from Lucknow, 5.50 lakhs from Agra,5.25 lakhs from Allahabad, 2.50 lakhs from Aligarh,8 lakhs from Dehradun, 35 lakhs from Gurgaon, 11.25 lakhs from Faridabad, 1.25 lakhs from Kurukshetra, 2.75 lakhs from Panipat, 10 lakhs from Chandigarh, 5 lakhs from Jalandhar, 2.50 lakhs from Patiala, 5.75 lakhs from Amritsar, 8.50 lakhs from Ludhiana, 2.55lakhs from Bhatinda, 1.75 lakhs from Ambala,2.25 lakhs from Jammu, 50 lakhs from Calcutta, 3.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 6.25 lakhs from Patna, 2 lakhs from Dhanbad, 4.55 lakhs from Ranchi,3.50 lakhs from Bhubaneshwar, 5.50 lakhs from Guwahati, 2.50 lakhs from Muzaffarpur, 15 lakhs from Nagpur, 10.75 lakhs from Raipur, 25 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 3 cinemas unrecieved), 5.50 lakhs from Jodhpur, 2.25 lakhs from Ajmer, 1. 75 lakhs from Bikaner,5 lakhs from Kota, 6.50 lakhs from Udaipur, 45 lakhs from Hyderabad, 8.25 lakhs from Aurangabad, 75 lakhs from Bangalore, 4.75 lakhs from Mangalore, 3.50 lakhs from Mysore, 2lakhs from Vijayawada, 3.25 lakhs from Visakhapatnam, 6.25 lakhs from Madras and 2 lakhs from Kochi.
