The prominent release of this Friday is going to be Surani Pictures’ Shabana-Juhi starrer, CHALK N DUSTER. The film is expected to garner good reviews, but chances are that it will not see much patronage, except at elite cinemas.

Last week saw the release of Bejoy Nambiar’s Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starrer, WAZIR. After a fair start the film saw a decent opening weekend (22 crore). However , the run during the weekdays has not been very encouraging. WAZIR has done well in the overseas grossing $1.60m with £75,000 from UK and $580,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (8-10 January).
