The coming Friday will witness the release of the Vivek-Riteish venture BANK CHOR, Neha and Rajveer starrer G KUTTA SE and Sharib Hashmi’s PHULLU. With such diverse genres, it promises to be an interesting weekend as the hard hitting G KUTTA SE takes on the relevant PHULLU while the comic caper BANK CHOR will aim for the family and masses!
BANK CHOR and PHULLU
Both the major releases of last week, Sushant-Kriti’s RAABTA and Rajkummar Rao starrer BEHEN HOGI TERI, failed to cut much ice with the audience. While RAABTA netted 15 crore, BEHEN HOGI TERI could muster around 1.50 crore, both during the opening weekend. Given the high release cost of RAABTA and despite the small budget of BEHEN HOGI TERI, neither of the two is expected to achieve anything at the ticket window, more so due to Salman’s TUBELIGHT releasing next week, and the audience holding on to their purse strings.
Checking out SACHIN: A BILLION DREAMS (docu-feature), after a great first innings (41 crore), the film saw diminishing returns in the second, adding another 7 crore, thus netting 48 crore (all versions) in two weeks from India and ends up as a profitable venture for all concerned.
