Checking out last major Friday’s release, Red Chillies and Azure Entertainment’s Amitabh-Taapsee starrer, BADLA, while the naysayers who thought that CAPTAIN MARVEL would completely decimate the Red Chillies and Azure Entertainment venture were proved wrong, as the film went from strength-to-strength. Very much as we had predicted, BADLA after lagging CAPTAIN MARVEL by about 7 crore on the first day, caught up with the Hollywood venture on Wednesday. Concluding with Ronnie Screwvala’s Vicky Kaushal starrer URI- THE SURGICAL STRIKE, the film added another 3.50 crore thus netting 242.50 crore in eight weeks from India and is an all time blockbuster. URI-TSS is also an overseas super hit grossing $6.25m with $4.1m from the US.
