The coming Friday will witness the release of Govinda’s AA GAYA HERO, Abbas-Mustan’s MACHINE, Vikramaditya Motwani directed Rajkummar Rao starrer TRAPPED and the Rajat Kapoor venture MANTRA. While none of the mentioned films are expected to make a significant impact at the ticket window, MACHINE may just be the front runner (comparatively), while the remaining ventures may see a limited appeal from their target audience. To elaborate, AA GAYA HERO for the hinterland, TRAPPED and MANTRA for the niche multiplex audience.


Checking out the Holi week release, Varun Dhawan and Aliya Bhatt starrer, BADRINATH KI DULHANIA, after a good opening, the film went from strength-to-strength and ended the extended Holi weekend (4-days), netting 56 crore from India. Given the all-inclusive 55 crore cost, BADRNATH KI DULHANIA is sure to be a hit, if not a super hit, and we are not surprised!
BADRINATH KI DULHANIA has impressed in the overseas (third best of 2017 after RAEES & KAABIL) grossing $2.85m with £180,000 from UK and $865,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (10-12 March).

Netting 25 crore (including dubbed versions) COMMANDO 2 will be a safe proposition for it’s maker, as they already have a reasonable non-theatrical earning in.
Concluding with Subhash Kapoor’s Akshay Kumar starrer, JOLLY LLB 2, the film added another 2 crore, thus netting 111 crore in four weeks from India and is a hit. JOLLY LLB 2 has also impressed in the overseas grossing around $5.30m with £302,000 from UK and $1,335,000 from the US.
