The coming Friday will witness an interesting clash in the form of Anubhav Sinha’s TUM BIN 2 and the John Abraham venture FORCE 2, needless to add that both are follow ups to highly successful ventures and get some advantage(s) of it. While the initial rounds may belong to FORCE 2 (due to action genre) TUM BIN 2 will come in to it’s own as the days progress. The edge that TUM BIN 2 holds over FORCE 2 is the very reasonable budget (6.50 crore) as opposed to FORCE 2 (35 crore - as per the trade grapevine).

The major release of last week, Excel Entertainment’s Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor starrer, ROCK ON 2 , failed to cut much ice with the audience, netting a paltry 7.50 crore during the opening weekend and is all set to be a disaster. The film has also been rejected in the overseas.

The remaining releases DONGRI KA RAJA, ISHQ JUNOON and YEH HAI LOLLIPOP etc. are washouts. Interestingly, released during the same week , the Punjabi animated 3D film, CHAAR SAHIBZAADE- RISE OF BANDA BAHADUR, has performed admirably in the East Punjab circuit, as also in NCR.
