The new releases of the week include Apex Entertainment's COFFEE WITH D, Blue Lotus Pictures' SAHEB and Dream Merchant Films venture MAJAZ-AE GHAM –E- DIL KYA KAROON. Given that it's just a five day window, the box-office prospects appear bleak as KAABIL and RAEES are scheduled to take over the screens, Wednesday onwards.


Checking out Madras Talkies and Dharma Productions' OK JAANU, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, the film managed a reasonable opening weekend netting 14 crore (to be validated). Given that the total investment of the film is 25 crore (12.5 crore production, 11 crore P & M and 1.5 crore miscellaneous), the film is a safe bet for all concerned, as 13 crore satellite right and 5 crore digital rights are already in. OK JAANU is so-so in the overseas grossing £40,000 from UK and $230,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (13-15 January).

DANGAL is also an overseas blockbuster, grossing $28.50m with £2,450,000 from UK and $11,850,000 from the US, till the fourth weekend (13-15 January).
