The coming Friday will see the release of the Raja Krishnan Menon directed Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer AIRLIFT. The film is carrying a good buzz and should perform well at the ticket window, on lines of Akshay Kumar’s 2015 venture, BABY.

Last Friday’s main release, Surani Pictures’ Shabana-Juhi starrer, CHALK N DUSTER, failed to make much of an impact at the box-office, netting just around 1.75crore from India and is a box-office disaster.

It is a loss making venture for some distributors. DILWALE continues its great overseas run grossing $24m (SRK’s highest ever!) with £ 2,332,000 from UK and $4,866,000 from the US, till the fifth weekend (15-17 January).
